G&G Industrial Lighting is fully compliant with both the Buy American Act (BAA) and the Build America, Buy American Act (BABA), ensuring that its products meet the rigorous standards set forth by these federal regulations. As part of its commitment to supporting U.S. manufacturing and strengthening the domestic economy, G&G Industrial Lighting sources the majority of its materials and components from U.S.-based suppliers, and our products are fabricated solely in Upstate New York. By adhering to these Acts, the G&G guarantees that our lighting solutions are not only high-quality and durable but also align with government procurement policies designed to promote American-made goods and foster job creation in the U.S. manufacturing sector. This compliance underscores G&G’s dedication to delivering reliable, American-made products while contributing to our country’s economic growth and resilience.
BUY AMERICAN ACT (BAA)
The Buy American Act (BAA) restricts federal agencies’ ability to purchase non-U.S. goods by providing a pricing preference to domestically produced goods. The BAA stipulates that the end-product, as well as over 50% of the total cost of component parts, must be manufactured in the U.S. If a product meets these requirements, then a product can be considered a “domestic end product” under the Buy American Act.
BUILD AMERICA, BUY AMERICA ACT (BABAA)
The Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA) applies a domestic content procurement preference requirement (Buy America Requirement) to Federally funded public infrastructure projects with the goal of increasing a resilient domestic supply chain and manufacturing supply for critical materials in the U.S. The BABAA is often attached to the Federal Transit Administration (FTA), Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) grants on transportation projects.
