Manufacturing Engineer

The manufacturing engineer is a hands-on, proactive & resourceful problem solver with a strong desire to continuously improve products and processes by eliminating waste. This individual is someone who applies advanced methodologies to correct & prevent deficiencies and deviations and can mentor and guide a team towards the adoption of systemic tools. This analytic and process-oriented team player is customer focused, thrives in a dynamic & entrepreneurial environment, and has a mindset for troubleshooting, standardization, streamlining & optimization.
Key Accountabilities:
Manufacturing Engineering:
• Provide day to day support to the operations team on problem solving activities.•
• Lead the implementation of process optimization and capacity increase initiatives for existing and future production areas.
• Lead the generation and maintenance of standardized work; support the administration of manufacturing documents in the plant.
• Develop manufacturing & assembly processes that yield products compliant to internal, customer and industry requirements (design and implement tooling / • Support 8D investigations or similar corrective action initiatives to address non-conformances, defects, or process deviations.
• Support the development of cost estimates, standard costs & labor optimization initiatives.
Continuous Improvement
• Support the development and implementation of manufacturing strategy for the site (OpEx).
• Lead the planning & execution of continuous improvement projects to increase productivity & reduce manufacturing costs (eg. cycle time reduction, line balancing, waste elimination, process flow optimization, workstation & layout design, visual management, 5S, TPM, etc.).
• Teach / mentor / train shop floor teams in continuous improvement and lean strategies and concepts.
Process Engineering & NPI:
• Lead the process for pre-production & production trial runs for new product / process introduction; own the process for approval and implementation of process changes in the shop floor (collaboration with Product Engineering & Quality).
• Lead the process for evaluation and selection of manufacturing and test equipment & technology and provide project management support for commissioning and production ramp-up.
• Lead capital projects to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Team G&G:
• Work cross functionally with other teams & functions of the organization to drive solutions.
• Demonstrate adherence to core values, be a high-level team-player & effective communicator.
Ideal Candidate:
To ensure success as a manufacturing engineer, you should have a strong technical background, an inquisitive and methodical nature, high sense of urgency, and the ability to deliver results while working with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Engineering or specialization in a technical field.
• 3+ years of experience as a manufacturing engineer in a manufacturing / industrial environment.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written), coaching, interpersonal and • Understanding of advanced mathematical concepts, strong data evaluation and analysis.
• Strong organizational skills, good judgement, attention to detail and process orientation.
• Ability to work independently a high sense of urgency (seeks guidance when appropriate).
• Safety oriented.
• Advanced PC skills and experience using MS Office (specifically Excel), CAD or other 3D drawing / modeling software (ERP systems a plus).
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
• Experience in APQP process, NPI & program management tools.
• Experience in automation, additive manufacturing, and practical applications in production (3D printing, line control, robotics, etc.).
• Working knowledge of statistical quality techniques (Six Sigma, SPC, Control charts, ANOVA, DoE, etc.).
• Experience in problem solving and using RCCA tools (Pareto Charts, Cause – Effect diagrams, 5X3 Why Analysis, etc.)
• Experience working in an ISO-based systems environment (TS / IATF16949, ISO9001, ISO14001).

Inside Sales Development

The Inside Account Executive will report to the VP of Sales and will prospect for new business appointments for all target industries for G & G. This role will be responsible for securing and booking appointments for G&G outside sales team with priorities determined by manager, marketing, and the sales plan.
Key Accountabilities:
Appointment Setting Support & Transition:
- Prospect for new business appointments for all target industries for G&G’s outside sales team.
- Utilize CRM and Google Calendar to secure and set appointments
- Assist sales as needed for appointments to rebook and/or communicate with the prospects
- Follow a cadence and sequence for prospecting for appointments that includes email, phone, voice mail, text, and direct mail to achieve an appointment goal and quota.
- Effectively communicate and ensure appointments are on both the prospects and our sales team member calendars and accepted along with auto reminders
Inside Sales Support:
- Learn G&G products to become effective in handling the sales process for new smaller orders and locations (quoting, specs and processing the order)
- Ensure that all activities/account statuses are tracked and maintained in appropriate contact and contact records in CRM including calls, emails, and attachments
- Provide to leadership feedback from prospects and strategies for improvement
Product and Industry Knowledge:
- Develop thorough product knowledge and applications of our products
- Actively gain industry knowledge and share with the team
What It Will Take To Succeed:

Director of People
The Director of People will be responsible for building the talent function at G&G. This individual will partner with the executive team and provide leadership and consultative services in all areas of Human Resources. This includes a focus on culture, employee engagement, leadership, coaching, development and retention. In addition, the Director of People will be responsible for recruitment and hiring oversight and support, compensation and benefits management, compliance, and HR administration. The Director of People will operate as a strategic thought partner and ensure day-to-day execution of all HR tasks.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field required; advanced degree in Human Resources or Business desirable, SPHR, SHRM-SCP or other advance Human Resources certification a plus
- Minimum of 5+ years of Human Resources leadership experience with exposure to
performance management, recruitment, HRIS, training and development, benefit
administration, and employee relations - Demonstrated leadership skills with experience working with and consulting senior
management - Experience in developing HR policies and procedures to meet changing organizational needs, and to support organizational culture
- Resourceful and able to find creative solutions, thinking beyond current systems and
approaches while recognizing the impact - Proven success developing strong relationship with senior leadership to collaborate on
